Youth Conference!

Youth Conference was at a ward level this past year so my ward went to Utah for two days and it was a BLAST! Everyone wished it was a day longer!

We started out one chilly morning (I can't remember what dates) and headed to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple to participate in baptisms for the dead. I had the opportunity to do 10 baptisms (That is 5 more than usual) and after the third my nose started to bleed (Stupid nose). Once it finally stopped my leaders told me I could go and finish the rest of them but I didn't want another nose bleed. After we were done we all headed outside and took a few pictures, then off to Camp Williams. Camp Williams is a military base and I, as well as the others had a fun time here. We got there and it took us like 15 minutes to figure out where the heck we were going. Eventually we found the rooms and we all got changed and headed out to do the Leadership Training Course. My group started out with the dry obstacles but because we couldn't lift anything we moved to the water courses and we did better on those ones. After the time was over we went back and started to prep for dinner. Well most of us just sat around playing games and eating star bursts. Dinner was done getting made and we ate and then cleaned up and walked around outside. We then had a little fireside outside and then outdoor games. We played capture the flag (although I think we used socks) and every time people screamed I thought all the army people were going to come out with big guns. We played Missionary Tag (I think that's what its called). I sucked at that game and I got really irritated and MAD and wanted to go inside the recreational room but everyone told me not to. We finally got to go in and we had root beer floats. I got a really weird rash on my arms and I have no clue what it was and it went away in the morning. After the floats we went to bed like around 12. I know that's bad. We woke up got dressed, went down to breakfast, and had an very touching fireside. Brother Clegg talked to us and he has such a good message. Afterwards we split up and cleaned the rooms and then got them checked off (or whatever they do) and then left to BOONDOCKS!!! So that was my first time in like forever since I had been to a mini golf place and I had the most fun EVER! We got the unlimited day pass thing so we could do whatever. First thing we did was go carts. Ok that's more like the ONLY thing I did. I did try golfing, laser tag, and the bumper boats. Ya I'm not so good at those. I did do some of the arcade games for tickets to get prizes. One of the other things that i did the most of was the 4D movies. Those and the go carts were THE BEST! Lunch we had Little Caesars pizza and soda which we ate in the parking lot. The fun had to come to an end. :( For dinner we went to Chuck-A-Rama and some things said and things that happened were HILARIOUS!! After eating we headed back to SC, making a stop in Toole and Wendover. We got home around 10ish.

I have so many memories and experiences and lessons from this activity. Sadly i did not take any pics. I'm hoping that trek will be just the same way or better and i will defiantly be taking pics for that.
